The Center offers customized workshops held at a location of your choosing.
Programs include:
Board Roles and Responsibilities
Governance Tune-up
This workshop is presented to an entire board. Areas covered can include
board roles and responsibilities, ethics and fiduciary responsibility,
risk management, Executive Director evaluation, fundraising, recruitment,
and transition planning.
Recruiting and Retaining Volunteers
Participants will learn new ways to attract and retain volunteers by studying
effective recruitment messages, identifying sources for potential volunteers,
reviewing ways to promote volunteer opportunities, and highlighting successful
management approaches.
Recruiting and Managing Youth Volunteers
This workshop focuses on the unique challenges of engaging youth in an
organization. Participants will learn effective, positive ways to attract
and involve youth volunteers.
