EXTEND A HELPING HAND AND MAKE THE HOLIDAYS SPECIAL
Holiday Gifts of Love Program Seeks Volunteers
San Rafael, CA- The Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership of
Marin (Center) invites you to participate in the 2007 Holiday Gifts of
Love program. Each year the Center requests local nonprofits to submit
requests for donations or volunteer time that can make the holidays a
true time of celebration for their clients. This year, we have dozens
of opportunities waiting for volunteers. Sign up now and make this a true
season of sharing.
Volunteers may choose from a wide array of projects, which could include
providing Thanksgiving meals and baskets, creating holiday cards, donating
food and clothing, helping prepare and serve a holiday meal, distributing
meals, providing requested gifts, and decorating and wrapping presents,
to name a few. Youth, groups, service organizations, religious congregations,
businesses, schools, community members, friends and family are all encouraged
to participate.
“The Holidays are perhaps the best times to get involved as a volunteer.
Many of the projects offered during this time of year are fun yet impactful.
It is a great way to engage your entire family whether it is for one night
or over a couple of weekends. Giving your time by serving as a volunteer
or shopping for the much needed donation is to give the Gift of Love,”
says Joshua Castro, Volunteer Services.
